Duration – المدّة

عادة ما يُعبّر عن المدّة في الإنكليزية باستخدام أداة for، كما في الأمثلة التالية:

I lived in Canada for six months | عشتُ في كندا لستة أشهر

I've worked here for nine years | صار لي أعمل هنا تسع سنوات

I'm going to France tomorrow for two weeks | أنا ذاهب إلى فرنسا غداً لأسبوعين

we were swimming for a long time | سبحنا لفترة طويلة من الوقت

Frequency – التكرار

never | أبداً

rarely | نادراً

occasionally | أحياناً (حرفياً: في المناسبات)

sometimes | أحياناً

often أو frequently | غالباً أو بشكل متكرر

usually أو normally | عادة

always | دائماً

every day أو daily | كلّ يوم أو يومياً

every week أو weekly | كل أسبوع
